TRR#55 - Treasure Pearls

The Ribbon Reel Challenge blog have another gorgeous photo for your inspiration, this time provided by Zuzana.

I created a special birthday gift tag  using lots of Ribbon Reel yumminess! I was inspired by the beautiful pearls on that gorgeous hair comb decoration and so cut a sweet sillhouette from felt and added three pearls to her ponytail. She is mounted onto a beautiful Sizzix die cut frame from the same set and the tag is created using Spellbinders Labels 8 - still one of my all time favourites:) Lots of sweet papers, soft colours and yummy lace on this! Love it !!

Products used: Two Tone Mauve Mesh; 32mm Champagne Silk Ribbon; 50mm Guipure Lace in White; Prima Cabachon Lace 20mm in Cherry;

Here are a couple of other views of the tag:

TRR#54 - Flower Cart

Hello and welcome to a whole new fun challenge from The Ribbon Reel. It's a beautiful Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK. Happy Memorial Day to all those of you in the USA too!

Jeanne has chosen the most beautiful photo inspiration for us to play with over the next two weeks and asks that we be inspired by the colours of the photo, use VIOLETS and GREEN and add RIBBON and a FLOWER.

I had a special 40th Birthday card to make for my lovely friend who will be turning 40 on Tuesday.  I used some Bridal White Satin Ribbon to make a wide ruffled piece and then added some Purple Saddle Stitch Grosgrain along the bottom edge. I added some beautiful two-tone dark lilac Cherry Blossom flowers and a sweet white Gardenia flower. The green olive faux silk ribbon gives the impression of leaves and I couldn't resist some loopy purple button twine and beautiful white leaf stick pins.

The gorgeous 'My Heart' stamp set is one of my favourites and is by Waltzingmouse and is stamped in shades of violet and green and I added some sweet lilac gems which I had shaped into the number 40.

You can find full details of the challenge over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge blog as well as links to all the beautiful creations from the rest of the Ribbon Reel Design Team -  well worth a look!!

Hugs

Li'l dolly tags & request :)

Hey everyone & Happy Bank Holiday to all those in the UK! I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather :)

I'm just popping in with some little dolly tags that I have made to co-ordinate with the sweet dollies I have been making recently.

I used my dies and leftover felt to cut different hairstyles and the faces are hand drawn. I also added some sweet ribbon and matching bows using left over pieces of material from making the dolls clothing. I used some gorgeous seam binding, mini ric rac, satin ribbon and natural button twine from The Ribbon Reel :)

I wondered if you would be kind enough to head over to my Facebook page and say 'Hi' - I would really like your feedback on these:) Here's a link to the Dolly Tag photo on Litte Ida Crafts page: Little Ida Dolly Tags Photo. Alternatively you can leave me a little comment right here on my blog :)

Have a great week! Big Hugs,
Helen

TRR#52 - Love Letters

We have a fresh challenge over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog and the lovely 'Keilly' has chosen this beautiful inspiration board photo for you to work with this time.

Here is my take. A sweet rustic little birthday card. I used some pretty papers and stitched along the edge using my trusty sewing machine. I added some 'May Arts Faux Canvas Ribbon' and zig zag stitched along the middle.

I then used Serendipitys Heart Die to cut some white felt and then added a selection of gorgeous Ribbon Reel Ribbons (the beautiful May Arts 16mm 'faux canvas' Ribbon in champagne, 4mm diagonal stripe ribbon, 16mm Two Tone Aqua Blue Mesh Ribbon23mm Red Polka Dot Button and aqua blue leaf pin

The button has a small flower shape just behind it, cut using a Spellbinders Floral Die. The gorgeous sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps 'Compact Sentiments' set and stamped in PTI's Hawaiian Shores Ink.

I added a cute 15mm red heart button and bluebell/white gingham button also from
The Ribbon Reel shop to finish :)

I'm also playing along with the current sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog - FMS#83

April Waltzingmouse Stamps Flower Show

Hello and welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps Flower Show!
You should have arrived here from JJ Bolton's blog. If you would like to follow the blog waltz from the beginning, you can find all the details on Claire's Blog. All the participants are listed for you below:

I was so delighted when Claire and Lynn asked me to take part in this event as part of this months new stamp releases over at Waltzingmouse Stamps! As you can see from the list above I am in extremely good company and still cannot really believe that I can see my name included there :)

I know you already seen lots of wonderful creations, so I will get straight onto my card - I hope that you will not be disappointed.

I used the three little flower images from the 'A Good Egg' set and an all time favourite of mine - 'Pic Nic Patterns' to create a bespoke background. I stamped the leaves in celery green and then stamped the flowers in Primary colours - red, yellow and blue.
Here's a little shot of the three flowers I used together on an acrylic block when I was playing around with the patterns deciding which order to stamp them in.

I used 'Very Vintage Labels 18' to stamp a lovely frame for the sentiment from 'Compact Sentiments' which seemed to fit with flowers ;)

I am the last person on the Flower Show tour today, so I hope that you have enjoyed what you have seen!  Waltzingmouse are offering an AMAZING prize -  all you have to do is CASE one of your favourite cards from the Flower Show and then post a link to your creation on Claire's blog from 23rd April. One random lucky winner will win a total of 5 stamp sets of their choice!! Fantastic- that's definitely worth an entry!!

Don't forget that all of the wonderful new releases are available in here in the Waltzingmouse Stamps Store.

TRR#51 - Feeling Blue

Hello and welcome to my blog!

I'm back with another fun challenge from The Ribbon Reel.  It's Sarah's turn to set the challenge this time and she has chosen THE most BEAUTIFUL photo for us all and asks us to use Shades of Blue with a hint of green and to include ribbon and flowers.

I used my much beloved Waltzingmouse 'Teeny Trees' stamp set to create a 'New Home' Card. We are unfortunately losing one of my eldest son's best friends to the United States this year as they are moving back to their family, making a new start in Boston where all their family are living.

I used some beautiful 'sky blue satin ribbon', a 'resin dahlia flower', some 'cream floral cotton lace trim' and some 'May Arts Pale Green velvet ric rac'. I stamped the little tree trunk and branches and then used two tones on the leaves -  a pale sky blue with a celery green on the inside.  I thought those sweet birdies looked as though they could do with a little birdhouse, so I stamped them a new home using the birdhouse image from the "A Good Egg" set by Waltzingmouse in 'faded jeans' distress ink (stamped off, then stamped again).  The scene is all framed by a lacey circle from 'Vintage Circles Small' by Waltzingmouse.

If you get the chance, we would love to see what you come up with for this challenge. You can find all the details here on the Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog as well as some AMAZING cards from the rest of the Ribbon Reel Design Team :)

Have a wonderfully creative week!

Hugs,

Helen
